There are five kinds of camps. Each are filled with recreation, adventure and most importantly, Bible Studies. (1) AGE GROUP CAMPS: This year we have about 13 more camps scheduled and run by our team. During these camps, we plan, advertise, and organize for different age groups. The counselors are trained by some of our team and they are prepared to support the theme Biblically. (2) RENTING: The camp is also rented out to schools and Christian organizations. This helps us to pay the camp's utility bills and brings in a bit of extra money for repairs. (3) NATURE CAMPS: Eric, along with his brother Jose Luis, has developed a program using nature to teach about God's hand in creation. This is a new program and we have had 2 trial runs. The director of the Camp is thrilled with the activities and wants to implement them in other ways as well. It is our hope that this camp will generate extra money to help pay some of our camp team volunteers who could use the income. For an extra fee, these camps will be offered to Christian schools and organizations to supplement their own curriculum. (4) ADVENTURE/HIKING CAMPS FOR HIGH SCHOOL: Eric also offers adventure hiking camps. He offers his services to the high schools. Then he takes up to 20 students across the mountain here in Cochabamba. We hope to expand these adventures one day. (5) WORK CREWS: Service and Work team camps. These help us get all our "to do" list done. We need a new dining hall, and kitchen among many other things! Camp has some big trees that we mentioned a while back. They were big dangerous ones at the entrance of camp that needed to be cut. That job was put off and many of them fell during a rainy windy storm. (There was a camp going on, but God blessed and protected the campers.) The downed trees are leaning in even more dangerous positions and really need to be cleaned up. Eric hopes to get some help and make a play ground using the trunks of these mature pine trees. He had his chain saw tuned up and is ready to go to work cutting the trees.
